Enjoy a great tour taking in the dazzling Keukenhof Park, Amsterdam, the lovely city of Delft and breathtaking De Haar Castle.
Suggested Holiday Hotel:
Our base will be The 4* Carlton President Hotel, which is situated on the outskirts of Utrecht. All rooms are tastefully decorated and feature private bathrooms, hair dryer, Flat Screen TV, Saftey deposit box, phone and free Wi-Fi. Hotel features include restaurant, lounge bar, lift, a leisure centre equipped with a sauna, Turkish steam bath, Spa Bath and relaxation area. (some facilities chargeable).
Accommodation is reserved on a bed and continental breakfast basis, with a 3-course evening meal included on nights 1, 3 & 4.
Suggested Tour Itinerary:
Day 1
Depart during the morning and travel south, making an appropriate comfort stop en-route, to Folkestone. Here we check-in for a Eurotunnel service to Calais. From Calais we will continue through France and Belgium to Holland and our hotel, The 4* Carlton President Hotel, which is situated on the outskirts of Utrecht. Dinner in included this evening.
Day 2
After breakfast the coach will depart during the mid-morning for the journey north to Zaanse Schans a beautiful area, unique and full of windmills, handicraft shops and museums. From here we will continue to Amsterdam where you will have time at leisure into the evening during which you may wish to book an optional canal cruise (please see your coach driver for details and prices). The coach will depart at approx. 21.00 hrs. for the journey back to the hotel.
Day 3
This morning we will depart for a full day excursion to Keukenhof Gardens, the world’s largest flower garden, dubbed “the Garden of Europe”. Over an eight week period Keukenhof is home to over seven million beautiful bulbs in bloom, with an amazing 800 varieties of tulip to see. Dinner will be included at the hotel this evening.
Day 4
After breakfast the coach will depart for the short journey to De Haar Castle, where group entrance and a 45-minute guided tour are included. It is one of the top European historic houses, the visit will take you back to the glory days of the castle and will show you the breathtaking splendour that surrounded the international rich and famous in the early 20th century. After the visit, the coach will depart for the picturesque, canal-ringed city of Delft, where group entrance and guided tour of the famous Royal Delft pottery are included. Following the visit, there will be free time in Delft, before departing during the late afternoon for the hotel, where dinner will again be included.
Day 5
After breakfast we must check-out of the hotel and commence our return journey. We will make a brief stop in Ostend en-route to Calais, arriving in time to check-in for a late afternoon Eurotunnel service back to Folkestone. From Folkestone, the coach will return to your local area.
