Christmas Markets of Germany 4 Days / 3 Nights

Day 1
Depart during the early morning and travel south to Folkestone, arriving in time to board a Eurotunnel service to Calais.  From Calais the coach will continue through France and Belgium into Germany and the Moselle Valley area and our hotel – the Hotel Furhmann.

Day 2
After breakfast we have a full day excursion taking in three different Christmas Markets on the Moselle Valley.  Our first stop will be in the town of Trier, where one of the loveliest Christmas markets in all of Germany is held.  The market takes place in front of the Cathedral and in the festively decorated wooden booths you will find Christmas articles such as decorations, wooden toys, candles, hand-blown or engraved glassware, gift articles, ceramics and much more.  Good food is also available – sausages, potato pancakes, sweets, hot tea and mulled wine.
Later on we make our way to Bernkastel, followed by a visit to Cochem, where once again you will have time to explore the Christmas Markets, before returning to the hotel.

Day 3
After breakfast we have a full day excursion to Cologne which boasts no less than six separate, colourful markets.  Cologne must surely be the place to experience what has become for many an unmissable event in the city’s calendar.  Each market takes place on one of Cologne’s many impressive squares, surrounded by ornate and historic buildings.

Day 4
After breakfast we must check our of the hotel and commence our return journey to Calais, arriving in time to board a mid afternoon Eurotunnel service to Folkestone. From Folkestone we continue our journey back to your local area.
