King Richard III & Leicestershire Weekend 2 Days / 1 Night

Day 1 – Depart during the morning  and travel to Melton Mowbray. Upon arrival, we will be split into small groups of no more than 15 people for a 15-minute demonstration at the Ye Olde Pork Pie Shoppe. After the last demonstration there will be free time in Melton Mowbray for you to get some lunch and do some sight-seeing. We then make our way to Leicester Cathedral. Here we will have a guided tour of the Cathedral. Following the visit, the coach will transfer your group the short distance to the Holiday Inn, Leicester. Here accommodation is reserved for one night on a bed & breakfast basis. After checking in, you will have time to enjoy the hotel’s leisure facilities, prior to changing for the night’s meal and entertainment. The group will meet in the hotel reception at 19.00hrs. for the short walk to the King Richard III Visitor Centre. Here you’ll be served a Medieval Banquet with themed entertainment. After what is sure to be a great night, the group will make the short walk back to the hotel.

Day 2 – After breakfast we check out of the hotel  and make our way, on foot, to the King Richard III Visitor Centre where group entrance is booked for a self-guided tour. After the visit you will have free time prior to returning to the hotel to board the coach. We then travel to the Belvoir Brewery  to their ‘Taste and Talk’ presentation including a 2-course Sunday lunch (main course and dessert) followed by tea and coffee. After the visit, the coach will depart for the journey back to your locl area.
